September’s reading is a meditation on space, symbol, and surrender.
We’ll be exploring A Preliminary Approach to Tarot Mandalas by Paul Nagy, a contemplative essay that reimagines the tarot not as a tool for fortune-telling, but as a sacred geometry of meaning. Each card becomes a mandala, a living symbolic space where archetype and intuition meet.
Paul invites us to let go of our impulse to control the reading and instead allow the cards themselves to establish the question. What opens is a dialogue with the unknown, structured by the card’s internal architecture; its directions, centers, diagonals, and hidden symmetries.
This essay is for anyone drawn to tarot, dreamwork, archetypal thinking, or the silent intelligence of images.
