The Wild Edge of Sorrow by Francis Weller

In our January gathering of The Unread Book Club, we will sit with The Wild Edge of Sorrow, a book that invites us to remember grief as a sacred, communal, and initiatory experience. Francis Weller draws from depth psychology, indigenous wisdom, and ritual practice to show how sorrow, when given space and shape, becomes a source of renewal rather than collapse.

This is not a book about fixing pain or moving past loss. It is a book about learning how to belong to sorrow without being consumed by it, and how grief, when held together, restores both the individual and the collective.

No reading required. You do not need to have finished the book to attend. Reading a few chapters, a single passage, or simply arriving with curiosity is enough.
